Application

The application possibilities are diverse, just like the professions that use these meters.

A digital angle finder is commonly used in woodworking, for example, by carpenters and furniture makers, to measure angles very precisely for bevel cuts and various wood joints. In metalworking, welders and metalworkers use digital angle finders when cutting, bending, and welding metal parts. In mechanical engineering and the production of machines and mechanical components, accurately measuring and transferring angles is also crucial. Here, angle finders are used to check the alignment of parts, ensure correct positioning of the angle, and verify angles in construction drawings. Hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts also enjoy using digital angle finders for various DIY projects.

Sola Digital Angle Finder WMD

A digital angle finder is used to measure, transfer, or draw angles. This digital meter is particularly useful in situations where an analog angle finder or ruler is inconvenient or not accurate enough. Additionally, the display makes it easier to read the measurement value and enables more precise measurement.

Key Features

  • Measures quickly and accurately both inside and outside angles with an accuracy of ±0.3°
  • Locking screw to secure the arm
  • Base arm with stop for comfortable use
  • Robust, dimensionally stable arms with reinforcing ribs
  • LCD display for easy readability of the measurement value
  • Hold function to 'freeze' the current measurement value
  • Zero function to set a reference point
  • High-contrast metric scale on both arms for easy reading
  • Battery compartment with child protection (IEC 62368-1:2018)
  • Compact. Lightweight. Robust.

How does a digital angle finder work?

A digital angle finder consists of a module and two movable arms. For angle measurement, the base arm is secured, and the other arm is placed on the object being measured. Angle sensors detect the angle, transmit or process the measured data, and convert it into a numerical value displayed on the screen. This way, both inside and outside angles can be quickly and easily measured, checked, and marked.

What sets the SOLA digital angle finder apart?

With the SOLA WMD digital angle finder, you can quickly and easily measure, draw, and transfer angles with an accuracy of ±0.3°.

Available in two lengths

The WMD digital angle finder is available in two lengths: a compact 200 mm version (total length 400 mm) and a 500 mm version (total length 1000 mm). Thanks to the long stop surface, the 500 mm version is particularly useful for professionals, for example, to determine the angle of walls and bridge inward-facing surfaces in corners.
