Application
Sikaflex 291i is a multifunctional product used in yacht and shipbuilding constructions. It is suitable for creating elastic, vibration-resistant (joint) seals indoors. Sikaflex 291i adheres very well to the materials used in yacht and shipbuilding, such as wood, metals, metal primers, paint layers (2-component systems), ceramic materials, and various plastics (e.g., polyester). Sikaflex 291i should not be used for sealing or bonding stress-corrosion-sensitive plastics (e.g., PMMA, PC, etc.). This product is only suitable for use by experienced professionals. Always perform tests with the typical substrates and under local conditions to determine adhesion and material compatibility.

Multifunctional Sealant for Maritime Applications
Sikaflex 291i is a 1-component polyurethane sealant developed specifically for the yacht and shipbuilding industry with good vertical hold, curing by contact with moisture from the atmosphere. Sikaflex 291i also complies with the low flame-spread requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Sikaflex 291i can be processed between 10°C and 40°C, but be aware of changes in reactivity and application properties. The optimal processing temperature for both substrate and sealant is between 15°C and 25°C. Sikaflex 291i can be applied using a hand-operated, pneumatic, or electrically driven piston gun.
