Types of sealant and applications
You know as a professional that there are a lot of different sealants, each with their own unique application. For instance, mounting sealant can be used for wood, metal, plastic, stone and tiles. While, acrylate sealants are meant for sealing joints and cracks, inside and outside. Besides the difference in use, there is also a distinction in paintable and not-paintable sealants. Silicone sealant, for example, is a not-paintable sealant.
