Open Cell PU Round Foam is made of an open-cell polyurethane foam. Due to the open cells, air is expelled, preventing blistering during sealing. Polyurethane is a soft material, allowing this backer rod to accommodate a larger joint profile compared to Closed Cell PE Backer Rod. Open Cell PU Round Foam is used to create the correct joint depth when sealing joints.
Open Cell Foam is supplied in loose strips of 1 meter (per bag).
