Preparation- Avoid rainwater penetration along adjacent materials.
- Untreated wood or absorbing and porous surfaces must be protected against penetrating water before the tapes are installed.

- After determining the joint width, choose the tape size according to the prescribed tolerances.
- For installation, a measuring tape, putty knife, scissors or knife, and possibly wooden wedges are needed.
- The joint sides must be parallel (max. 3-degree deviation).
- Clean the joint sides from construction debris and mortar residues.
- Cut the pre-compressed start/end piece.
- When unrolling the tape, take at least 1 cm extra (for butt joints).
- For vertical expansion joints, start placing at the bottom. The tapes are installed with butt joints.
- The tape should be applied recessed from the front.
- For wet joints, TP600 ILLMOD 600 can be fixed with wooden wedges until the tape has expanded.
- TP600 ILLMOD 600 should not be applied around window frame corners. The tapes are installed with butt joints.
- For highly absorbent surfaces, it is recommended to pre-treat the joint sides before applying TP600 ILLMOD 600.
- For horizontal applications, keep the self-adhesive side at the bottom.
- Vertically, let the tape run through. Horizontally, apply the tapes with butt joints (overlap).
- Check the corners after installation.
- To extend the application time in summer, store the rolls as cool as possible. This slows down the expansion of the tape, giving you more time to position and install the window frame.
A flexible open-cell polyurethane foam, impregnated with an acrylic-based, UV-resistant resin. The resin is water-repellent and fire-retardant.
