Application
Facade expansion joint sealant specifically designed for sealing connection and movement joints. The SP525 Proflex Seal 25 offers durable and strong adhesion on most surfaces, such as anodized (electrolyzed) aluminum, polyacrylates, glass, concrete, ceramics, and plastics. It ensures a long-lasting elastic seal in movement joints between structural elements. The SP525 is recommended for sealing joints in construction and around window and door frames.
Due to its food-grade certification (ISEGA certified), the SP525 is also highly suitable for sealing joints in interior walls and ceilings in the food and dairy industries.

Preparation
- Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from grease and dust, and free of any loose particles that may prevent good adhesion.
- To achieve an optimal sealant joint formation, use PR101 PU or PR102 PE Backer Rod; avoid three-point adhesion.
- For optimal adhesion, the surface should be primed. Refer to the primer table for the correct choice.
- Depending on the substrate, it can be cleaned with AT115 or AT200 Cleaner.
- When determining the joint size, ensure the joint is dimensioned so that the MTV (maximum permissible deformation) of the sealant is not exceeded.
- Joint width must be at least 5mm and no more than 30mm.
- For joint widths up to 10mm, the width-to-depth ratio should be 1:1. Between 10mm and 30mm, a 2:1 ratio can be used.
Application
- Cut the nozzle to the desired width.
- Place the cartridge in a suitable gun (manual, air, or electric).
- Prepare the substrate following the preparation instructions.
- Apply the sealant without air inclusion.
- For finishing, use AA300 or AA301 Smoother Spray if necessary.
- To achieve a clean joint, it is recommended to mask the joint edges with suitable tape for porous surfaces.
