Application
The self-adhesive ME508 i-Membrane PRO (Duo Fleece Tape) is suitable for easily sealing connections around window frames airtight. Due to its variable Sd-value, this intelligent fleece tape is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The fleece coating ensures a strong adhesion of plaster to the tape and the substrate.
Preparation
- The bonding surfaces must be dry and free from grease, dust, and adhesive residues.
- The adhesion of plaster to the membrane should also be tested.
- For perfect adhesion, we recommend using the ME902 Butyl & Bitumen Spray Primer for highly absorbent surfaces or the ME904 Butyl & Bitumen Spray Primer Eco for lightly damp conditions.

ME508 i-Membrane PRO (Duo Fleece Tape)
Applying as Single-Sided:
- The window frame is already installed in the opening.
- Remove the protective film from the back (without print) of the ME508 i-Membrane PRO and apply it to the inside of the window frame.
- Leave some extra space (loop) in the gap and apply the other half to the wall.
- The tape should always be applied with a minimum of 15 mm adhesion area.
- It is possible to apply the tape in one piece with a loop at the corners.
- Where the beginning meets the end, ensure a 50 mm overlap.
- Apply the thermal insulation layer (e.g., Fm330 Perfect Elastic Foam Pro) around the entire perimeter of the window frame in the adjustment space.
Applying as Double-Sided:
- Apply before the window frame is placed in the opening.
- Remove the narrow protective film from the fleece side (with print) of the ME508 Duo Fleece Tape and apply it around the installation side of the frame before placement.
- Leave some extra space (loop) in the gap and apply the other half to the wall.
- Apply the tape preferably to a flat part of the profile rather than over the "legs".
- It is possible to apply the tape in one piece with a loop at the corners. Where the beginning meets the end, ensure a 50 mm overlap.
- Apply the thermal insulation layer (e.g., with the FM330) around the entire perimeter of the window frame in the adjustment space.
