Compriband, also called swelling tape, is a pre-compressed tape that expands after application and takes on the shape of its environment. It is used on and around frames to promote insulation and water resistance. It is also used in all kinds of joint constructions to make it dust, air or rainproof.

Different complibands and their applications

The various complibands can be used for different joint widths. If it needs to withstand even the toughest weather conditions, the Illbruck TP600 Illmod is a good option.

The pre-compressed tape can be applied directly from the roll into the joint. It is best if the tape is not pressed in or wrapped around corners. You can cut the tape to size with a stanley knife.
